I think one of the neat things about going out as a missionary is the chance to rethink what you think you already know from a different perspective.
For example, and I’m just talking out loud here, there’s this idea out there in missions circles that if you want to be effective you need to target…

Amen! Reminds me of Matthew 5:14 – 16, Ephesians 3:21, Philippians 3:20,I Peter 3:15, 16 and Galatians 3:28. May our Lord who ordained that the church should be a light to this dark world make us increasingly what He wants us to be.

Hey pastor Josh.
now i was thinking about this coz your blog stirred something inside of me and Im probably GONA go off the point you actually wanted to make but juz listen to this.
I think the church is suppose to be the roll model to the world of how society is suppose to work… i mean, since i have attended Grace Fellowship PTA i saw Stuff that i havent seen before… i had a lot of friends before I became a Christian, but then God saved me and gave me a wonderful church and AMAZING FRIENDS, thats where i realized i didnt have a clue what it meant to have or even be a friend! By that God showed me what friendship is suppose to be like to be God honoring!
My parents got divorced when i was in grade 1 and I didnt have a good God honoring example of what a relationship between a man and woman, husband and wife is suppose to be like, but since God saved me and i attended church, God showed me what that relationship is suppose to be like!
To go on, I never knew what a parent-child relationship is suppose to be like, the correct God honoring way of how to parent a child, then God showed me between the people in church.
TO TALK ABOUT
CARING FOR EACH OTHER,
TO HAVE MERCY ON EACH OTHER,
HELPING EACH OTHER,
HOW TO HANDLE CONFLICT BETWEEN EACH OTHER…
HOW TO LIVE A GOD HONORING LIFE… HOW TO HANDLE OTHER BELIEVERS… HOW TO HANDLE OTHER SINNERS… HOW TO CUT OURSELVES OFF FROM SIN BY REPENTANCE AND TURN TO GOD…
etc etc etc… i could go on for days! KEY WORD HERE IS… GOD HONORING…
point i want to make… I believe God is showing the world how it is suppose to work… through the church.
DONT GET ME WRONG:
Im not saying that the church Im going to is without fault COZ WE ARENT and Im not saying they are the only right church showing the world the example…
but I believe that the Church is Gods way of using a bunch of true Christians together showing the world how its suppose to work… I KNOW THATS NOT THE ONLY SUPPOSE OF THE CHURCH.
BUT THAT IS SURELY ONE OF THEM…
